Although a newcomer to this area, I recently had occasion to call at the County Welfare Department on behalf of a very young friend in need of advice.
I was greatly impressed by the courtesy, sympathy and understanding of the Welfare staff, and by their interest in getting help to someone needing it. They are doing a difficult job quietly and well and deserve a vote of thanks for their service to the community.
