A MOTORIST involved in a hit and run property damage accident Saturday* night was apprehended the following day by Trooper R.A. Baines. The crash occurred about 1:15 a.m. when Lee Samuel Bendall of Falls Church ran into the fruit stand operated by Lyle Wilson Atkins on Route 211atSperryville. He was driving a 69 Chevrolet. Bendall was cited for hit and run and reckless driving.
The following night at Huntly on Route 522 Michael Foster of Flint Hill operating a 72 Norton motorcycle was northbound when he was run off the road by another vehicle. Foster sustained a dislocated shoulder and abrasions of the back and shoulder.
Gregory Palmer of Clearbrook was the operator of the 69 Ford pickup which crowded the cycle which was completely demolished, according to Trooper R.A. Baines.
