This compares to the increase of 45.5 per cent in the average unit cost of electricity to Vepco’s residential customers from 1966 through December 1974. This comparison includes the fossil fuel adjustment but does not take into account the utility tax imposed on the customer’s bill by localities in Virginia for which Vepco does not receive one cent for collecting.
