Donal Day of Sperryville placed first in the five thousand meter race in the A.A.U. meet at Charlottesville with a time of 15. 28.7. He outdistanced Max White who is the national 50 mile champion. White placed second in the event which was held June 24. Day is the son of Mrs. Eileen Day of Sperryville and Walter Day of Washington, D.C. He is working on his doctorate at the University of Virginia and is presently doing research in Boston.□
Marriage announced
Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Barbara Weakley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judd Weakley of Amissville, to Thomas William Anderson of Sperryville. He is the son of Mrs. David Anderson and the late Mr. Anderson.
The wedding took place Saturday, June 28, 1975 in Fork Union with the Rev. A. Paul Thompson officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson are residing in Amissville. □
