James
Alvin Judson James, 71, of Viewtown died in Fauquier Hospital June 30, 1975. He was a self employed carpenter.
He was the son of the late Julian Judson James and Lizzie Ellen Baynes, His wife was the late Julia Estes James.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Rebecca J. Harrup and Mrs. Mildred J. Chapman, both of Charlottesville, and Mrs. Judy J. Chandler of Berlin, Germany; two sons, Robert J. James of Brandy Station and Lester B. James of Amissville; two brothers, Raymond J. James of Black Mountain, N.C. and Norvel C. James of Viewtown; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joseph S. Stirman Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Amissville Baptist Church cemetery.□
Luttrell
Charles Nelson Luttrell of San Diego, Cal., died July 2, 1975, at Scripps Memorial Hospital. He was born September 8, 1896 in Maxwell, Cal. and at age 4 moved with his parents to their native home, Amissville, where he grew up. He was the son of the late Richard Edmond Luttrell and Ada Browning Luttrell.
