Visitation at Shenandoah National Park keeps on the increase in comparison to statistics from a year ago. During the month of June there was an increase of 39.4% over last year and the calendar year visitation is up 35.1%.
June 1975 visits total 313,100 while June of 74 the total stood at 224,500. This year 974,200 visitors have entered the Park while at this time last year the count was 720,900.
The maximum temperature at Big Meadows during June was 81 degrees and the minimum was 44. Precipitation was 4.03 inches.□
