Summer fun workshops for 4-H’ers are underway with each one bringing new and different crafts for children. Included in the activities so far are making sand candles, burlap wall hangings, leather arm bands, tie-dying T shirts.
Adult leaders helping with the funshops to insure their success are June Savee, Washington; Jinny Pierson and Brenda Hitt, Amissville; Maybejle Gilkey and Doris Williams, Chester Gap; Esther Settle and Elizabeth Scherschel, Flint Hill. Anyone else wishing to volunteer as a helper with these activities may call the Rappahannock Extension Office at 6753619.
The meeting scheduled for July 14 in Flint Hill will be held at the home of Mrs. Settle where hotdogs and lemonade will be provided for the children’s lunches. 4-H’ers may bring any extra things they wish and the craft will be making arm bands.
The funshop at Washington is set for July 15 at the Baptist Church. The project will be assisting in the town roadside clean
