The Supervisors had written the Department of Highways several months ago, asking that they complete the improvements to 211 through Amissville as soon as possible. The Highway Department spokesman responded that “substantial allocations are still required” in order to finish the project and reminded the Supervisors of “severe financial difficulties” facing the Highway Department due to the decrease in^ revenues from the gasoline tax.D
