The Washington Rescue Squad transported Mrs. Alice Verner from Fauquier Memorial Hospital home Jaquary 5.
The Washington Fire Company was. called to a chimney fire at the home of Peter Kramer January 7 and to a chimney fire at Albert Payne’s in Gid Brown January 18. They were called to Gilbert Cameron’s later that same day for another chimney fire.
Everett Estes was carried from the fire house to Warren Memorial Hospital January 13 by the Washington Rescue Squad.
The Sperryville Rescue Squad carried Mrs. Daniel Noce from her home to Vint Hill Farms and back January 18.
Flint Hill fire company responded to a chimney fire at the home of Albert Payne in Smedley Hollow Tuesday and Sunday night stoodby where an electric line was down on the Resettlement Road.
Friday night Flint Hill Rescue Squad assisted with traffic when two tractors and trailers on Route 522 jackknifed. January 13, Frances Riley was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital by this unit and on the 7th Amanda Champ was taken to that hospital. □
