John J. (Butch) Davies of Culpeper has declared his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the House of Delegates 25th Legislative district seat which will be vacated by the Hon. D. French Slaughter, who will not seek reelection at the end of his term.
Davies, 29, is single, and comes from a family long associated with public service and civic involvement. He is a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and is a law partner in the firm of Lea, Davies, Crigler and Barrell in Culpeper.
The - candidate thinks that it is time politicians listened to the people they represent, and he says he will go door to door to learn of their concerns and ask about their idea on the issues facing the state.
