the state has provided much-needed improvement and expansion of the prison system to provide for additional facilities, which are unfortunately needed, and to provide for more secure prisons. This continues to be a pressing need and the additional funds needed to continue this progress will have to be found. Next week I will have another legislative report. □
Dance lessons
Last week, the possibility of forming a group which would enjoy learning colonial and country dances was mentioned in the News.
Mrs. Fred Welty, who coached the minuet and two other dances performed in last June’s Bicentennial Pageant, will be in the Trinity Church parish hall Monday evening, January 24, at 7:15 to meet anybody interested in such a project.
This is a public service of Mrs. Welty’s, who hopes that there will be a good attendance. □
