Col. (USA Ret) and Mrs. Phillip L. Shackelton of Sperryville announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharon Lynn, to Terry Jay Looney of Richmond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey S. Looney, Jr. of Roanoke. Miss Shackelton is a Senior at Madison College, Harrisonburg and Mr. Looney was graduated from Madison College Harrisonburg and will graduate in May. She is a member of Hie Phi Mu Sorority. Mr. Looney was graduated from Madison College and is presently a research specialist at the Medical College of Virginia. A June wedding is planned.
