Thank you

Editor:

We would like to express publicly our deep gratitude for the outstanding emergency ambulance service provided my father on Sunday, January 23, 1977 by the Washington Rescue Squad, composed of Reverend J. W. Hobson, Brad Fisher, Mr. Ed Clark and Mrs. Ellen Manson.

Regardless of extremely hazardous road conditions, the ambulance arrived within a few minutes after our call. The performance of the crew reflected considerable professional skill, dedication and, above all, a deep concern for their patient’s welfare. After a long and difficult trip, Reverend Hobson and Mr. Fisher cheerfully responded to the hospital’s request for assistance in further facilitating the prompt emergency treatment of my father.

All of us close to my father again thank each of the squad members for the unselfish and truly professional voluntary service rendered so effectively. The town of Washington and the county of Rappahannock may well be proud of this fine organization.
