Californians on their way to Florida stopped enroute to visit Virginia cousins over the weekend. They found the hospitality warm and the weather cold.

Mrs. Helen Smiley of Oakland and Mrs. Maryle Foster of Rocklin, cousins of Mrs. W.L. Payne and of J.R. Latham, both of Amissville, spent from Friday until Monday here. Mr. and Mrs. Payne entertained with a family dinner Saturday evening at their home, Locust Shade.

In addition to Mrs. Smiley and Mrs. Foster, those present were Miss Louise Anderson and the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Carder of Culpeper; Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Koontz, Jr. of Brandy Sfcition; Mr. and Mrs. David Hoadley and Sarah of Falls Church; Sally Mann and Vincent Nicholson, McLean; Susan Latham, Richmond; Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Latham, Jamie and Carol of Bentonville; Mr. and Mrs. David Streagle, Shannon and Marc, Mr. and Mrs. J.R.
