He was selected in the sixth round and the option of going with that team now or playing out the season with DeKalb. Mike is attending the college on a baseball scholarship. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Smoot Jr. and graduated last year from Rappahannock County High School. He is 6’ 3”, weighs 175 and is a right-handed pitcher.
