Cindy Cumins of Sperryville was initiated into Alpha Lambda Delta Honorary Sorority at Longwood College, Farmville, on February 27 and was also elected to serve as secretary for the Longwood chapter. Alpha Lambda Delta is a national organization which recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement of freshmen. Cindy is also a member of Freshmen Productions and the Weslyn Youth Choir and was a reporter last semester for the school newspaper. She is a 1976 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is majoring in education. She resides with her grandmother, Mrs. James Perkins.
