Sperryville Rescue Squad took W.B. Johnson from his home at Woodville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital March 2. Saturday Vincent Nicholson of McLean was taken from the races to Culpeper Hospital.

The Sperryville Rescue Squad responded to a call at the Corner Store and took William J. Connard Jr. of Chambersburg Pa. to Culpeper Memorial Hospital on January 30. Franklin Kidwell of Scrabble was taken from his home on February 9th to Culpeper Memorial. February 20th the squad responded to a call at Thornton Farms and took Mrs. Bendaladge to Culpeper Memorial. The same day Charles Leake was taken from his home to Culpeper Memorial. Frances Freeman was taken from her home in Gid Brown Hollow to Warren Memorial Hospital.

The Washington Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire on February 15 at John Marshall Clark’s. Services were not needed.

The Flint Hill Rescue Squad took Raymond Mahoney from his home at Huntly to Warren Memorial Hospital on February 20. Later that day the Fire Department responded to a car on fire near the home of Ruth Grimsley.

The Chester Gap Rescue Squad took Bradley Williams from his home to the Emergency Room of Warren Memorial Hospital and return Sunday.

Amissville Rescue Squad took Walter Fitzhugh from home to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton on March 9 and the following day Ike Fitzpatrick was taken to the same hospital. March 11 a false alarm was turned in and on March 12 Mrs. Frank Walter was brought home from Fauquier Hospital.

Eldridge Grigsby was taken to Culpeper Hospital on March 12, also and Tuesday Mattie Davis was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.

Amissville Fire Company responded to a field fire March 9 at Cross Creek and the next day answered an alarm to a field fire at Viewtown. March 13 this unit extinguished a fire at the dumpster location and also responded to a house fire at Jeffersonton. March 14 this company answered an alarm to a house fire at Scott Embrey’s on Route 621.

Washington Fire Department responded to a roadside fire March 16 on Route 211 near Spring House Farm.D
