High Point, N. C. spent the weekend with Mrs. M. H. Brady. Also visiting her over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCulloch of Fairfax and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brady and family of Arlington.
Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. A. 0. Smoot were Mr. and Mrs. William Smoot of Manassas and Mr. and Mrs. James Bywaters and Jimmy.
Mr. and Mrs. John M. Humphries of Greenville, N. C. visited Dr. and Mrs. Robert Rodgers last week.
Auxiliary election
The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary elected officers at the March meeting of the group. Accepting the office of the president was Mrs. Mary Hitt and the vice president chosen was Mrs. Isa Scott.
Mrs. Katie James was elected secretary of the Auxiliary while Mrs. Louise Smith was named treasurer. Acting as Chaplain will be Mrs. Brenda Hitt and Violet Scott is the reporter.
Plans were finalized for the annual firemen’s banquet scheduled this year for March 25. □
