ALL of us are awaiting the details before miking up our minds about President Carter’s energy policy proposals (or we should be awaiting the details before forming opinions), but about the overall tenor of his address Monday -night to the nation, there is no doubt: Our energy sources, as . currently exploited, are fin‘ ite, and if we are to avoid catastrophe, more must be done for conservation, for new approaches to the problems of living.
