Rappahannock High’s girls JV track team garnered victory for the second time this season when they competed Monday with Strasburg Ramettes. Final score was 65-43.

Four events highlighted the meet. Johanna Day and Sandy Wines each surpassed the high jump record by chalking up a 4 ft. 9 in. and 4 ft. 7 in. Ann Thomas set a new record in the mile run with 6:26.4. Melanie Burke was second. The 880 medley relay team of Rhonda Wiley, Laura Tupper, Beth Hudson and Johanna Day also set a new record with 2:11.5. In the 100 yard dash the girls ran 1, 2, 3 led by Kathy Jenkins followed by Desiree P.eohler and Beth Hudson.

Other girls participating and doing well included Johanna Day, Lisa Jones, Rhonda Wiley, 1, 3 and 4. respectively in the hurdles.
