Any Rappahannock County farmer who believes that his barley or wheat crops have suffered from the unusual weather conditions and the yield will be reduced substantially may be eligible for a minimal payment under the provisions of the 1977 Wheat and Feed Grain programs.
Any payment will be based on the farm allotment and the farm yield maintained in the Rappahannock County ASCS office and not on the amount of planted acreage.
Producers who experienced a loss should contact the ASCS office before any crop is destroyed so appraisals and measurements can be made while evidence of the crop is still present.
