Norton continued. If the Board waits to order books until September 1, then it may take six weeks for the books to arrive, he noted, while an estimate on how many books will be needed may result in having too many.
Under the purchase system the School Board must either have the cash to pay for the books at the end of the. year or have the books on the shelf as inventory, according to Norton.
