• If you begin to skid, take your foot off the gas pedal. Do not brake. Steer in the direction the rear of the vehicle is skidding. Next, gently steer back in the opposite direction to straighten the car.
It’s easy for vehicles to get stuck in deep snow. Motorists should keep tire chains (if the vehicle is not equipped with snow tires), a small shovel and a small bag of sand for traction in the vehicle at all times during winter months. In case your car gets stuck or stranded, it’s helpful to keep a pair of gloves, boots and a blanket in the vehicle.

Officials with Disney — Take a Second Lpok, the Fauquier-based lead opposition group, scoffed at Disney’s phone-banking efforts, calling it a “corporate tactic ... I think Disney recognizes it has serious problems. They are resorting to corporate tactics and using their resources to build superficial support,” said Chris Miller, legal and legislative liasion with the anti-Disney group. “I hope the legislators look hard at the numbers.”
Nevertheless, many Northern Virginians like Harrison and Lam support Disney’s historical-based theme park because they say it will help the state economy and will provide their families with years of enjoyment.
