Lauderdale, FI. He is also survived by three brothers, E.B. Compton and David Compton both Castleton and Charles Compton of Front Royal and nine grandchildren. / Mr.. Compton was preceded in death by one daughter Lois Jean Compton, two brothers Albert Compton and John Compton and one sister Sadie Compton.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. J.T. Pittman II and the Rev. Martin Hale officiating.
Interment followed in Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Compton, Bobby Compton, Ed Compton, John Settle, Bobby Turner and Richard McCutchen.

Wilfie Jordan
Willie Ophelia Jordan of Flint Hill died Jan. 11 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
She is survived by one brother, Rev. James Jordan of Harrisburg, Pa.; seven nieces, six nephews, two God children, four foster children and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 17 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill with the Rev. James E. Price officiating.
Interment was in the Jordan Family Cemetery in Flint Hill.
Arrangements were handled by Ames Funeral Home in Manassas.
Earl Burke
Earl Burke, 62, of Guam died Sunday, Jan. 16 at his home.
He was the son of the late John K. and Mary E. Burke of Washington.

James Jackson
James “Curly” Jackson, 71, of Culpeper, died on Sunday, Jan. 16 at Roanoke at the Veteran Adminstration Center. t
He was born in Rappahannock County on Oct. 29,1923.
He was in the Army from 1942 to 1943.
His parents were the late Jafus Joseph Jackson and Marie Turner Jackson.
Survivors include two brothers Albert Thomas Jackson of Culpeper and Jafus Joseph Jackson Jr. of Winston; two sister-in-laws, Elver Jackson and Hattie Jackson of Culpeper, a devoted friend Betty Butler of Culpeper and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 on Friday, Jan. 21 at Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper with Rev. Gordon Henderson Sr. officiating. #
Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 21 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Clore Funeral Home.
