Mr. Coombs lives with his wife Paige in a restored 1700’s log home in Castleton. They moved here in 1986 from Chestertown, Maryland, while he was still employed doing sales and marketing for Boston Whaler. They restored the house themselves. It was in bad shape when they purchased it.
Mr. Coombs learned to work "with wood from his grandfathers Coombs and Brown, which is the name of his business. Mr. Coombs said, “I can remember seeing my grandfather smoking a pipe while working in his woodshop. It looked like he was having fun.”
