W.W. Koontz Sr. William Walter Koontz Sr., 65, of Brandy Station died Thursday, Jan. 13 at his home. Mr. Koontz was bom April 6, 1928, in Washington, D.C. to the late Joseph Triplett Koontz and Jessie Holt. He was a founding member of the Open Door Baptist Church, where he was also a deacon. He was a member of the Culpeper Gideons. Mr. Koontz was also a veteran of The United States Navy. Mr. Koontz is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan Lavinia Koontz; two daughters, Joyce Brown of Stevensburg and Mary Hendley of Culpeper; two sons, William W. Koontz, Jr. of Brandy Station and Joseph Triplett Koontz of Brandy Station. He is also survived by one sister, Joann Thompson of Maryland and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Open Door Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Jarvis officiating. Interment followed in Culpeper National Cemetery. Pallbearers were Collis Fincham, Bemie Jenkins, Tommy Curtis, David Brown, Dominick Brown and Derrick Brown. Henry Fincham Mr. Henry Ford Fincham, 66, of Alexandria, formerly of Culpeper, died Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Mt. Vernon Hospital in Alexandria. Mr. Fincham was bom in Slate Mills on March 6, 1927, son of the late Henry Clay and Lucy Ella Me-* Farland Fincham. Survivors include three brothers, Cleveland C. Fincham and Herbert E. Fincham, both of Alexandria and Stevenson D. Fincham of Woodbridge; three sisters, Aleese H. White of Alexandria, Florence Hoffman of Culpeper and Frances Reardon of Stephens City and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. Floyd Binns officiating. Interment was in Culpeper National Cememtery with full military honors.
