citizens we raised a total of $51,890.54 last year in this cause through the efforts of our Relay for Life program ($49,421.04) and our “Daffodil Day” program ($2,469.50).
We would like to remind everybody that October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” and the American Cancer Society recommends yearly mammograms starting at age 40.
Breast cancer accounts for nearly one out of every three cancer diagnoses among women in the United States. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed non-skin cancer in women. Numerous studies have shown that early detection saves lives and increases treatment options.
