Lt. Col. Robert J. Miko (USAF-Ret.). 80, of Washington died Sept. 20 at his residence.
Mr. Miko was bom June 21, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio.
He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Medal with Four Oak Leaf Clusters and nine Battlestars after serving in Korea in 1950 and duty in Japan.
Subsequently, based in Washington D. C., he was attached to the office of special investigation for the U. S. Air Force. Retired in 1987, he lived in Washington where he owned and managed a 170-acre property.
A Christian burial service was held on Sept. 29 in the Kindrich-McHugh-Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Solon, Ohio. Interment was held at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland. Ohio.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. at the home of Susan and Walter Longyear, 636 Mt. Salem Avenue in Washington.
