1 am pleased to inform you that your school has been selected to participate in the Virginia Department of Ed’s Geospatial Technology initiative.
“This initiative will provide an exciting opportunity to learn about Geospatial Technology and provide students experiences that pertain to geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), remote sensing (RS) and image processing (IP). This will include the development of the instructional framework for a 36week course in Geospatial Technology. . . .”
According to the announcement, RCHS will be licensed to install the (GPS-GIS) software on all computers.
“ This technology uses state-ofthe-art computer software interaction with satellites for locating people, places, and things anywhere on planet Earth,” Wilcox said.
