In this age of computers, modems, and email, she still wrote everything in longhand, delivering the last column a few weeks ago to the current editor Mary Ann Kuhn.
Aylor still keeps busy with family, phoning and visiting friends, and entertaining her 21-pound cat, Willy. With more time on her hands she plans to build up her Tupperware business.
Joanne Welch has already published a column or two, but doesn’t expect to continue that
for 50 v^rs. She may already have her successor in the wings—Elizabeth, her assistant and 12-year-old daughter, who has been helping her write the column.
