The board honored Roberta T. Anderson for her work on the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board at the expiration of her two terms and six years of service. She is not eligible for reappointment. Helen Williams was appointed to the RRCSB for a three-year term.
In other business, the board approved a supplemental funding request of $300 to Rappahannock Legal Services, bringing the county's total funding share for this agency to $1,500. The agency supplies various legal services to low income residents, and spent more than $9,000 helping county residents last year.
The board also passed a resolution to encourage the continued efforts of the Rappahannock River Basin Commission to improve water supply planning in the Rappahannock basin.
