To pave or not to pave. That was the question at the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors’ meeting last month.

The answer then, for Grimsley Road, Route 638 near Flint Hill, was to pave, at least some of the road. It’s still the answer, but not everybody is satisfied.

At that meeting most residents spoke against paving Grimsley Road. It looked like a one-sided decision, with all but one person wanting to leave the road as is.

But when the supervisors voted, it turned into a 3-2 split decision, and
