During the past year. Allegheny Power's facilities in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia have incurred significant stornrdamage, which included broken poles, cross arms, and wires. As electric service was restored after the storms, Allegheny Power identified and repaired damaged facilities and eliminated hazardous tree conditions that resulted from the storms, high winds, and off right-of-way trees.
However, due to the magnitude of the damage, we believe it is necessary to revisit the affected areas to ensure damaged facilities were adequately repaired, clean-up work was completed, and hazardous tree conditions were removed. Over the next several weeks, you may notice Allegheny Power crews or ,. contractors working in yourarea inspecting lines and performing storm clean-up work. This is important work and will reduce the possibility of future power outages and reduce potential safety hazards to the general public
