Additional survivors include five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, one niece and numerous step nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Dec. 12 at First Assembly of God Church in Front Royal with David Sterling, Rev. Greg Amos and Rev. Orville K. Thomas officiating. Interment followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery

Wesley George Dodson, Sr., 65, of Rixeyville died Dec. 10 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
He was born April 12, 1938.
Mr. Dodson was a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived two sons, Wesley G. Dodson, Jr., of Culpeper and Paul R. Dodson of Madison; one daughter, Sharon Mullins of Manassas; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Jerry Dodson of Christiansburg, Floyd Dodson of Rixeyville and one sister, Angeline Sevey of Galesboro, 111.
