dered for political reasons. He also said that it was important to field Democratic candidates in as many races as possible and praised the local committee for helping Tom Lewis run as a Democratic candidate for the House of Delegates in the 15th District, which includes Rappahannock County.

The local reorganization caucus is mandated every two years by the state Democratic committee.

Before the meeting in the Washington Town Hall the 40 participants socialized as they consumed a plentiful buffet breakfast prepared by members of the caucus.

Stilley reminded the group that the committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library.

At the next meeting on Jan. 6 work groups and subcommittees will be established.
