ESS has given the town information on soil consultants qualified to test the 50acre Clopton property.
“We presently have four to five bids for the job of the consulting," council member Jeff Benson said. He said the council will need to review the bids and make a decision.
Benson said he expects the town will have selected an engineer by January or February.
In other action, council members voted unanimously to allow high school students to begin repairing the town’s street signs in January.
According to council member Claudia Mitchell the signs will cost $50 each, which includes materials and labor. “We are very excited to keep the money in the neighborhood,” she said.
