A Loudoun County grand jury has returned the nation’s first indictments dealing with the criminal distribution of illegal, bulk e-mails, or “spam,” Virginia Attorney General Jerry Kilgore announced last Thursday.
Kilgore also announced that one of the indicted men, who is considered the eighth worst spam distributor in the world, was arrested Thursday morning in North Carolina and will be extradited here to stand trial.
