Ear Hunt for children
Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue will be having a buffet breakfast to benefit the tanker purchase on Saturday. March 22. from 7-11 a.m. Easter Bunny will be available for pictures and baked goods will be sold. At 11 am. there will be a Free Easter Egg Hunt for children up to age 12. Every child will get a plastic fire helmet with candy. Many prizes will be given by age groups.

at The Theatre
Federal Jazz Commission returns to The Theatre at Washington, Virginia, this weekend. The Washington, D.C.-based group will play at 8 p.m. Saturday. The talented musicians specialize in classic jazz as it was performed by various small bands in the 1920s, particularly bands such as those of King Oliver, Jelly Roil Morton and Louis Armstrong. The band’s repertoire includes rags, stomps, marches, blues, cakewalks, hymns, fox trots and one- - steps. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under. The Waggin’ Hearts Therapy Dog group offers a reading program free of charge to school age children. Books & Barks provides a great opportunity for children to practice their reading skills, work on reading assignments or just enjoy reading to a canine friend. The program utilizes registered therapy dog teams who are trained and tested for health, safety and temperament. Our Books & Barks teams offer children an irresistible opportunity to polish their reading skills in a fun motivating way and helps children improve their self esteem and confidence. In March.
