Find out how YOU can identify and reduce the potential danger of contaminants such as water and well pollutants, septic system leakage, liquid fuels, lead, and hazardous household wastes and products in your home in this FflEE workshop. The workshop will be held on Saturday, Mar. 29, from 9:00 to 12:00 at the Washington Volunteer Rre Department. There is no cost for this workshop sponsored by Rappahannock County and the Virginia Water Quality Improvement Fund. Center Networking Luncheon
The Rappahannock Nonprofit Center Networking Luncheon Series is held on the first Wednesday of each month. The next luncheon will be held on Wednesday, April 2, from 12:00 to 1 :Q0 p.m. at The Link, our new community center located at the old Sperryville schoolhouse. Lunch is included. This luncheon series is to provide nonprofits an opportunity to network, discuss concerns and issues they are facing and to share information and resources they have found to be helpful. Adoptions information
Prospective adoptive parents are invited to a joint presentation by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington and Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Charlotte about adopting children from Russia and China The two agencies are working in partnership to help place children from these two countries in loving, permanent homes. Both agencies are licensed and so far 800 children have been placed throughout the United States.
