Judy Smeltzer Riley; 63, of Chester Gap, died Tuesday, Mar. 4, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, after a long battle with cancer,

Mrs. Riley was born Dec. 28, 1944, in Wyoming County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Goff Preston Smeltzer and Dorcas Smeltzer Lowe.

She was the manager of the Shoe Show stores in Warrenton and Front Royal for 20 years. She was very active with the ACS relay for life and fundraisings and the Heritage Hall patient aid fund in Tazewell in support of her brother Carmel.
