The Rappahannock Wine and
Food Consortium presents
Gourmet Rappahannock -
A Sampling of Our Finest!
Wine — Food - Spirits
Recent and upcoming events at RappLINK at the School House (affectionately called “The Link”) have supported farmers, conservation organizations, schools, local organizations, the arts and chanties. The business and tourism representative of The Link advisory board has met since January with the five Rappahannock winenes and several restaurants. The newly formed Rappahannock Wine and Food Consortium will host an upscale multi-winery, multi-restaurant, aftemoon-inthe-country event as a fund raiser and as a public relations product for Rappahannock County.
On Saturday, June 14 from 4- 7 pm, The Scrabble School Foundation will be the beneficiary of “Gourmet Rappahannock.. .A Sampling of our Finest! Wine-FoodSpirits.” It is hoped that this is the beginning of an annual Rappahannock wine and food tasting event that will feature local wineries, restaurants, farm fresh foods and provide funds for the Scrabble School Foundation. The event is expected to host about 250 guests solicited from the community and from the email lists of the wineries and Mt. Vernon Farm. Online purchase of tickets at $65 each will be available by mid-April at www. Gourmet Rappahannock
Other businesses can participate in two ways. Sponsorship, offered at $300, will include prominent advertising and admission for two people. Line item advertising on the program for $50 will include the opportunity for display of PR materials at the event.
