location, the Comptons kept returning to Rappahannock and were particularly drawn to the charm of Sperryville. ■Donna was born and raised on a farm in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and David was raised on a farm in Iowa, Donna moved to Northern Virginia in 1969, and worked for various accounting firms before moving to Iran where she Kved for three years and where she was involved in the U.S. evacuation of Iran in 1979. She returned to Northern Virginia and ultimately was employed by the World Bank for 28 years as a budget analyst. Now retired from that position, she hopes the Cafe will become a place where residents and visitors alike can relax with an excellent cup of coffee and epjoy the quaintness of SperryviBe.

David Compton is founder and president of Logistics Support, Incorporated (wwwJogsup.com), a veteran-owned business headquartered in Washington D. C. with field locations worldwide. He has a long career providing logistics support to the Navy and DOD and current anti-terrorism efforts. Although he still wiB commute into D.C., the cafe provides backup for his business, if needed.

Brian Compton served four and one-half years in the Navy and is an IT specialist for his father’s company In Sperryville he will use both his IT skills and indulge in his passion for the guitar.
