Bell has his players moving, rotating, working quickly and practicing effectively. They jog off" and on the practice field. Several of them are members of area travel teams and all of them look to be in fine spirits as they head into the spring season.
While Bell has some set starters, he’s quick to emphasize, “it depends on their performance during the week, it rotates.”
But fans can look to strikers Captain Will Sonnett, Davey Torrance, Owen Monroe and Steve Dodson to lead the offense while the defense will be anchored by Captain Dean Hogan, Jake Rosenbaum, Zack Wayland, and Dugald Day. The men in the middle will be led by Captain Jordan Torrance, Gary White, Will Bolte and Bennett Kastham.
“We have the biggest team we’ve ever had,” said a delighted Bell, “enough to have a full field scrimmage." With 22 on the roster that includes manager Hunter Minder, Bell will have a deep bench. Bell is assisted this year by Preston Will who has been with him the last 3-4 seasons. Both coaches hail from Culpeper.
Others on this year’s roster include Wesley Minder, Ben Pendleton, Jacob Racer, Jack Coon, Huck Pace and Reed Dove. Sophomore Daniel Clemment is injured.
