Logan’s death comes less than six years after the death of another RCHS student, 16-year-old Dylan Corbin, in a car accident. Corbin, also a football player, was killed over the Christmas holidays in December 2003 when the car driven bv his brother, Nathan, then 18, ran off US. 522 south of Woodville, also striking a tree on the passenger side.
Six years earlier. Flint Hill 18-year-old Mary Beth Williams died when a car driven by Tori Leigh Smoot. 17, of Rixeyville. slammed into a large walnut tree on Route 729 in Amissville. Smoot also died of injuries sustained in the crash
“Every five or six years, we seem to lose one of our kids this way, and it's an awful shame,” said an Amissville rescue squad member who was at the scene, and who asked to remain anonymous.
