Fall Festival, Wakefield Country Day School, Flint Hill, 11 a.m,-1 p.m. Games for all ages, delicious food, drinks, games with prizes, a morning 5K run, and a yard sale is open to all WCDS families and the wider community. The yard sale starts at 8:30 a.m., and runs until 2 p.m.
• 3rd Annual Wakefield Country Day School 5K Fall Fun Run: Registration, 8:30 a.m., race starts 9:30 a.m., awards, 11a.m. Entry fees: students $15; non-students, $20. • Old Dominion Hounds Pony Club holds the fourth in its series of Dressage and Combined Test Schooling Shows at Windsor Lodge Farm, Flint Hill. Divisions offered include the Conventional Combined Test (dressage and stadium), the Jumping Derby Combined Test (the stadium phase includes some cross-country fences), and dressage test of choice. Where entries warrant, divisions are divided into Junior and Senior classes. Closing date for entries is Oct. 10. The show is a fund-raiser for the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL). Shelter dogs will be available for adoption, and competitors and guests are asked to bring doggie items to donate to shelter residents.
