His mother says Logan stopped in, or called, almost everyone who was important to him on Saturday - including his Dad, who hed tracked down at Rae’s restaurant in Sperryville. “He said, ‘I love you. Dad,’ and he gave me a hug.” . Logan telephoned his friends late Saturday night and as late as 2 a.m. Sunday - 15 minutes before the accident - just to talk, several of his friends said.
On Monday afternoon, as many of Logan’s friends gathered at the crash site on Whorton Hollow Road, the group w'ound up sitting in a circle in the field beyond the poplar tree where the truck had come to rest. Many were crying as they remembered their friend.
