• Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging transportation services will not operate Oct. 12 in observance of Columbus Day. • Rappahannock County government offices, the Rappahannock National Bank. BB&T Bank and Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle customer service centers will be closed on Oct. 12 in observance of Columbus Day. • The Rappahannock County „ School Board will hold a public heanng Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m , in the high school band room to seek public input with respect to qualifications desired m the next Supenntendent of Schools. The regularly scheduled School Board meeting will follow with a closed session at 7 p.m., and an open session at 7:30 p.m. • On Oct. 14, the Washington Town Council will hold a joint public hearing with the Planning Commission at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall to consider adoption of two ordinance amendments. Following that, the Town Council will hold a public hearing on a Special Use permit request by Rappahannock County to construct an Emergency Radio Tower. It also will consider the Rappahannock Historical Society water tap request.
