One of the most precious memories English teacher Laurel Van Horn will have of student Logan McKieman involved a surgical mask he was wearing in her class* room at Rappahannock County High School Friday morning.
There he was sitting there wearing the type of mask many people use* to prevent contracting such illnesses as the flu
After 29 years of teach ing. Van Horn, whose first block English class includes several football players, decided to play along with McKieman.
“I looked at him, and I said. ‘Logan, do you have H1N1? Are you telling as something?’ ”
McKieman responded, "1 just like wearing i the mask)"
There were some giggles. Even Van Horn smiled She told him to keep the mask on.
