Next spring, Rappahannock General District Court Judge Charles B. Foley will put his “best-of-all-worlds” theory to the test
After 24 years on the bench, Foley will retire in March but continue to keep his hand in the game as an occasional substitute judge in Rappahannock and Fauquier counties, w here he currently presides, and perhaps on ones in Loudoun, Fairfax and Prime William.
“That’s the best of all worlds, as far as I’m concerned,” the 63-year-old junst said. “You still keep doing the things you’ve always done, but yet you do it on a limited basis.”
. Rappahannock attorney Douglas K. Baumgardner, whose law office is located on Main Street in Washington, has expressed interest in the judgeship.
