Mr. H. S. Barksdale, recently chosen to be president of the 1950 Rappahannock Fair, reports plans are already underway toward inauring a bigger and better Fair thna those in recent years. Remember the date: Saturday, Sept. SO. It is hoped all Rappahannock citizens will give Mr. Barksdale and the various fair committees their whole hearted support.

Benefit Carnival At
"Meadow Brook Hall*9
Wednesday, July 12, from noon until midnight, Mrs. William P. Slaughter will have a carnival for the benefit of the Warren Memo* rial Hospital, at “Meadow Brook Hall,” Huntly.
There will be swimming and dancing throughout the evening. Contests and tournaments will be held at various intervals. ' The Front Royal Garden Club is assisting Mrs. Slaughter with the preparation^.
A program of events and the various prises which are being donated by stores, restaurants and individuals in. and around Front Royal will be announced later.
